In France, there are only few private Schools where pupils are wearing the uniform so when it’s time to go back to School, Mums are not just busy preparing all the essentials to put in their kids backpack but also finding the perfect outfit for their little-ones. The more the children grow, the more important it is to get the right clothes to stand out.
In the French Private Schools who have opted for the uniforms, it is slightly different as children are asked to wear overalls to cover their clothes. Those overalls can also be very stylish. See the new Floral collection launched by Bobine Paris.
If you want to know more about the French Uniforms read my previous blog “Do French pupils wear School uniform?”.
For the other Schools, there are no rules. So to show you how smart our little French pupils could be, I have made a non exhaustive selection of my favourite School looks and Accessories…
Not so far from the Uniforms
Chateau de Sable has revisited the classic polo shirt and pleated skirt, ideal for an active day at School.
So Parisian with Cyrillus
With the Trench coat and the Breton stripes top, your little-ones will follow the footsteps of Parisian Icone Ines de la Fressange
A splash of citrus with Arsene et les Pipelettes
An invitation to travel with Catimini
In France, the School bag can also be a fashion accessory. Children usually don’t have Backpacks and their bags are larger and bigger as they don’t leave their books in a locker.
A selection of School bags
1- The first cool little School bag 100% Organic Cotton from Coq en Pate, 2- The geometric Old School bag from Bakker made with love, 3 – The Comic strip style for Little Stars from Caramel & cie, 4- The Girly version of the classic Tann’s School bag
And to finish the look, it’s so important to get some comfy shoes without compromising the style.
