In January, I often goes to Paris for the big Trade Shows : Maison et Objet and Playtime. Now there is also the Kid Show in central Paris so plenty of opportunities to find the perfect products for your children. I wanted to share with you the new collections that I feel will work very well in the UK.
Playtime presented its 19th edition and created a unique atmosphere around the season theme : “The Marvelous”. The richness of the offer was still amazing and Winter 2016 promise be FUN.
Here is my little French Designers selection for the season with a lot of New amazing brands
We always find comfort in Les Petites Choses collections, with their stylish hats, their organic fabrics, their loose fitting and the “mustard” colour and the little animals to add edge to your children’s style.
I was pleased to discover the new brand A l’ombre des enfants as I love “words” and this brand makes the most of them with her ”100% Semantic” collection for the 3 months-14 years old set. The simple designs and dark colours will make you focus on what is said. And a bonus: it’s not only in French, it’s also in English.
The first timer Marlot Paris is bringing the optimum softness to her new collection. The quality of their jerseys and their knits, their practical cuts make the children want to wear their Marlot‘s clothing everywhere and everyday.
Another great addition is la Petite Collection who offers a colourful new collection alongside her range of home textiles and decoration brand Lab. You’ll get Warm colours, Nice patterns and cosy outfits.
I was also under the spell of Miniyou Creation and their unique patterns inspired by Latin America used on their whole range of baby shoes, accessories and clothing, ideal if you are looking for a nice baby gift set.
I am a Parisian so I say yes to all the products that reminds me that fabulous city. Yes to the beret and the stripes. So I couldn’t resist to the Accessories from the brand Because I’m Little who also reinvents the French golden years in fashion.
If you have read my previous blog post, you will now know that every season I like to make a stop at Lucien Zazou stand as I know that this brand is always full of surprises. Again this season, I haven’t been disappointed. Nothing compared to the colourful previous season. Now the Monochrome helps to focus on a diversity of materials that are here to attract the light and they don’t forget completely the colours. You will also love their bright Pink.
Lucien Zazou is also developing her new range of womenswear.
Little feet are an important matter for me as I feel with the right first shoes, baby will be able to balance and coordinate his steps better. So you should consider these flexible and sustainable soft leather baby shoes Made in France by Tom et Lumi.
And because we also have a fair amount of muddy puddles in France, it was also important to have a great range of Wellington boots. Look at these ones created by Boxbo. I am sure your kids will love them.
The kid show who was created recently to present more exclusive brands in the Children’s Fashion Industry is also now getting bigger and has moved from Bastille to a new prestigious location in Republique. The spirit of this historical building helps to highlight the exhibitors’ collections in an intimate setting.
Here are my 3 top findings
Nouveau Cru (with a reference to the good wine) and her delicate, simple and functional baby range, full of love.
Lundi Mardi for a more grown up look, from 4 years old till 12. This timeless Made in France knows how to add a little twist to Classics. We love the Jersey sweater with Liberty fabric.
